Cosmetic Acupuncture

(FACIAL REJUVENATION ACUPUNCTURE)

Facial rejuvenation, also known as cosmetic or enhancement acupuncture is a gentle and natural non-surgical alternative to Botox, fillers and surgery for both men and women reducing the signs of aging. In addition to promoting a more youthful appearance, addressing fine lines, puffiness plus acne and hormonal breakouts, I also treat any underlying issues and often uses body points in conjunction with facial rejuvenation which helps support longer lasting benefits.

I use ultra fine, highest quality needles to stimulate collagen production, cell regrowth and promote blood circulation.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

It works by encouraging blood circulation and the flow of Qi into the facial area. Facial rejuvenation stimulates the production of collagen and elastin making it look more supple and increases oxygen flow and the supply of nutrients to the skin, which helps diminish the appearance of blemishes and wrinkles.. Facial rejuvenation promotes overall health and well-being and reduces stress evident in the face.

Facial rejuvenation acupuncture is based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which views the face as a reflection of the body's internal organs and energy systems. By promoting the flow of Qi (pronounced "chee"), or vital energy, through the body's meridians or channels, facial rejuvenation acupuncture can help restore balance and harmony to the body, which can have a positive effect on the skin.

Some of the benefits of facial rejuvenation acupuncture:-

  • Minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Helps reduce puffiness and dark circles under the eyes
  • Tightens and improves facial muscle tone in the face and neck
  • Restores the skin's natural collagen production
  • Reduces inflammation
  • Helps to improve skin conditions such as eczema, acne, psoriasis and rosacea

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A FACIAL REJUVENATION TREATMENT

As with regular acupuncture treatment, points are carefully selected according to the constitution of the individual and the specific aims of treatment. A full health history will be taken, diagnosis and treatment strategy formed and the number of treatments recommended to get the best effects out of facial rejuvenation.  As a guide, six to twelve sessions are generally recommended, with weekly treatments initially and either spaced to fortnightly or to maintenance thereafter.

To further enhance the benefits of facial rejuvenation treatments, I also combine Cupping, Jade Roller and Guasha, plus LED Light therapy techniques into my treatment sessions which have a number of effects of relaxing, stimulating and increasing lymphatic drainage, reducing inflammation and promoting blood circulation.
