Mind-Body-Spirit

Inner Peace

Welcome to a world of holistic healing and balance, where the ancient wisdom of Chinese Medicine and South Asian Medicine meets modern-day natural health treatments. At the heart of these principles lie a profound understanding of well-being as a harmonious blend of Mind, Body, and Spirit. These holistic approaches have been practised for thousands of years across different modalities and offer deep insights into living in harmony with oneself and the world.

Many people associate acupuncture with treating physical conditions such as chronic pains, headaches or migraines.  The Mind-Body-Spirit programme is a highly individualised natural health treatment aimed at bringing the body back into balance as it treats you, the patient, as a whole. Diagnosis looks at the root cause of ill health and treatment plans are formulated accordingly. There is no ‘one size fits all’.

I treat many patients who present a number of complicated health conditions, and Mind-Body-Spirit aims to deal with the root cause of imbalances rather than symptom chasing.  This approach helps to correctly identify where it is all stemming from.  I also treat patients that don't have a specific ailment; however, they choose to have acupuncture simply because they feel out of kilter. This could be due to any number of things, including a stressful lifestyle, poor diet or emotional worries, all of which can result in a lack of energy. These issues, in turn, can lead to an inability to relax/switch off and difficulty sleeping, leaving us feeling generally unwell and unbalanced.

When you embark on your well-being, you can expect changes on many profound levels!

Your Mind-Body-Spirit programme may also include the following Natural Health Treatments:

  • Plant-Based Herbal Medicine: Chinese Herbal Medicine utilises the healing properties of plants and minerals to restore balance and promote well-being. Customised herbal formulas are prescribed based on your unique constitution and health concerns.
  • Mycology therapy: Mycology, or mushroom therapy, is a holistic approach to health and well-being that harnesses the therapeutic potential of fungi. This emerging field explores the use of various fungi, such as mushrooms, moulds, and yeasts, for their medicinal properties and benefits. Mycology therapy encompasses a range of practices, including medicinal mushrooms like reishi, shiitake, and lion's mane, which have been shown to have immune-boosting, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective properties.
  • Dietary Therapy: Nutrition plays a vital role in Traditional Chinese and South Asian Medicines. Discover how specific foods can support your body's Yin and Yang balance and align your diet with the seasons for optimal health.
  • Qi Gong and Tai Chi:  These ancient movement practices combine breath control, meditation, and flowing movements to cultivate Qi, improve circulation, and reduce stress.
  • Cupping Therapy: Cupping involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. It stimulates blood flow, relieves muscle tension, and promotes healing.
